We live as long as we fly

Billiards and TexMex

After going for a ride yesterday I played pool. First we won four games, and then lost three. Came home like a zombie, dead tired.

And this morning we went to the TexMex restaurant, which is in the Klondaika bowling alley at Ditton. The decor is good, the service is good, and watching people bowl while you eat – is fun.

I had burritos – good ones. My friend had tacos – I liked those less. The pepper was sitting separately on the plate, and out of inexperience, we didn't order any sauce.

Desserts: I had a cheesecake. Very small portion, but not bad. My friend had fried pineapples with frozen fruit. Also not bad. I also had an iced coffee (frappuccino?, frappe?) – way too much ice, and the chunks were too big. I would have preferred less ice. Hell knows, maybe that's their recipe.

All the plates were beautifully presented, even though some of the fruit didn't look perfect. But overall I liked it. If I get the chance – I'll go again, to evaluate the mega-spicy Aztec soup.

It's funny that at first we were the only ones in the hall, but an hour later whole crowds started pouring in – some large bunches of little kids with moms, a thuggish-looking buff dude with his family, and others.

P.S. This is maybe my tenth trip to a restaurant in my entire life, so you have to take the above with a grain of salt.
